Firstly, The Piperack is now owned and operated by Renee Duvall, Inc., an Indiana corporation.  We are currently based in Lafayette, Indiana, home of Purdue University.

01.  Question:  Are there any changes to my user account?

Answer:  Your user account is exactly the same as it always has been.  You can access your account with your current login and password.  Nothing has changed in regards to your information.

02.  Question:  Are there any changes to your shipping policies, return options or payment options?

Answer:  Most everything is staying exactly the same.   We will still be shipping Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and shipping costs will be calculated as they were before.  For payment options, we will be sticking with Paypal for now (as before), and will likely add a merchant account in the future for direct-to-us credit card payments.  We still accept checks and money orders, but payment needs to be payable to "Renee Duvall Inc" for the time being.  Return policies, trade policies and payment policies will all be staying as they were. 03.  Question:  Is the ordering process the same as with the old store?

Answer:  Yes, everything is as it has been for the last five years, with a few small exceptions.  The Piperack may be under new ownership, but it is still the exact same website, with the exact same ordering procedures, the exact same user accounts, and the exact same policies as before.  The only difference is a new corporate owner, which means your transactions will show as "Renee Duvall Inc" on your paypal account; if paying with a check or money order, you'll need to make out your mailed payment to "Renee Duvall Inc" instead of "The Piperack".

04:  Question:  Who is Renee Duvall Inc?  Why the change in ownership?

Answer:  The change in ownership is due to the fact that The Piperack moved from Michigan to Indiana.  As The Piperack ceased to have a physical location in the state of Michigan, there was a need to create a new corporate identity.  

05.  Question:  Why aren't you carrying unsmoked brands any longer? 

Answer:  This is something of a misnomer.  We will list out unsmoked pipes, but we are no longer a legal "dealer" of any brand.  So we might get some unsmoked brands in on trade (for example there is an unsmoked Morgan out there right now) but it is sold "AS/IS" with no warranty because we are not an official dealer for that brand.  We will occasionally list out an unsmoked Lindner Pipe as they become available, but Michael has severely curtailed his pipe making and we expect very few to hit our pages.

06.  Question:  What are the changes to the mailing list? Will I need to re-sign up for updates?

Answer:  No, the mailing list is still the same.  If you're a member of our mailing list, you don't need to do anything.  We will continue to send updates out on a regular basis.
