Don Carlos are great smoking pipes at any price, and Bruto Sordini is one of the more talented Italian artisans today. Quite frankly, his newer pieces are some of the nicest pieces coming out of Italy today, regardless of brand. Take a look!
This particular piece is a wonderful, smooth three-note in a freeform, squat acorn shape. The graining is gorgeous straightgrain all around the bowl with just a touch of wash on the face, and it features a medium and rustic rim. The shank is adorned with an engraved silver band, and the stem is hand-cut of acrylic in a slender saddle. This piece is incredibly elegant, and an excellent representation of the masterful skill of Bruto Sordini.
