Giancarlo Guidi formed Mastro De Paja in the early 1970's, and quickly became one of the fastest rising stars of the Italian Pipe making scene. With incredibly strict attention to detail, Giancarlo created some of his finest work during this era. Giancarlo left Mastro De Paja in 1982 to form Ser Jacopo, and continues the tradition today.
This particular piece is a rather interesting bent bulldog design with a beveled bowl, featuring a well-defined ringblast, flattened oval shank with factory engraved silver band and original acrylic stem with silver disk logo.
